CLASS OVERVIEW
Meet Your Instructor…
Justine Lee co-founded the Autistic Psychedelic Community alongside Aaron in 2020. Drawing from her personal journey with autism and academic background in pharmacology and neurobiology, Justine has been instrumental in shaping APC into a nurturing network that emphasizes inclusivity, effective communication, and a deeper understanding of neurodiversity. Her efforts in APC demonstrate a commitment to enriching the dialogue around mental health and neurodiversity, leveraging her unique perspective to foster community resilience and transformative connections. Through APC, Justine aims to make scientific information accessible and to advocate for empathetic mental health practices that respect and celebrate neurodiverse individuals.
A Word From APC Co-Founder, Aaron Orsini…
“Some of you know may know Justine from Sunday Zoom meetings. Some of you may know Justine as the reference-dropping, fact-checking all-star in the chat during the Introduction to Psychedelic Autism course. I know her as an absolutely dedicated educator, scientist, and support for psychedelic sessions. Justine is impeccably precise with her science, while at the same time delivering comprehensive guidance on how to truly support the unique and varied needs of neurodivergent individuals. Justine put so much time and care into this course, and she’s really putting in the time for students as well. Those who enroll receive a full 12 hours of live learning and office hours time with her. And I’m just so in awe of how generous Justine is being with her time and energy for this offering. I sincerely believe there’s no other course like this available anywhere…”
Reviews and Testimonials
“If I had it in my power, I would have you pause everything and write a booklet - even outside the psychedelic therapy prep - for considerations for working with neurodivergent clients with the content of your slides for this class.”
“I'm going on 3 years of self-realization of my neurodivergence, have interacted in various forums/fora, and nowhere have I seen so accurately an encapsulation of the understanding I've built/layered through those 3 years than what's in this presentation so far.”
“This has been the most relatable description of experiencing alexithymia across time I’ve ever heard.”
“I didn’t think I was experiencing alexithymia until Justine described it so clearly.”
